I want a mat that is more than a mat

All three of our dcs sleep in one 'room' in our tent. It's technically a two-berth room, which means that the floor area is too big for two mats, but too small for three, which in turn means that at least one of the dcs ends up sleeping on the groundsheet.

Is there something that I can use to cover the entire floor area of the room, and which will provide at least the same amount of padding and insulation as conventional mats?

What's wrong with sleeping on the ground sheet?

DS and I don't have mats, just sleeping bags.

Could you use something like a double duvet cover - maybe adjusted to make it a bit smaller - and put a couple of big mats (like Fat Airics) in it, then chuck all three children onto it?

Or use stick on velcro to join two big mats together?

Get a double airbed. They are big enough for 3 children.

this guy makes great mats

Fat airics are on sale right now, along with the rest of the range. Gaffer tape them together, presto!
