that it really is okay not to have them in a travel cot?
I mean, it is August, and everything... he'll be fine, won't he?

i took our travel cot the first time (ds was 8 mos) but in the end it was so difficult getting him in and out to feed in a tent that i hauled dd1 in it (much to her disgust) and slept with ds on the airbed myself. it was the last time we took a travel cot with us lol.

Where is he sleeping ?
I tried dd 18 mths in airbed with me , total disater so now use pop up travel cot is great well worth it!
However every lo is different!

Just pop him in with you. He will be fine

My 8 mo is going camping with us this weekend and like the last two times he'll be in a sleeping bag (baby down type thingy) on a sheepskin rug which sits on a folded blanket. It's great having him at "our" level.

He'll be fine!

We are minimalist campers, so we don't have airbeds!
Just sleeping mats... I don't want to take the travel cot as last trip DH had to sleep in the porch poor chap...
He stays very still when asleep... wish I could say the same for my dd

Ah- it's going to be boiling, isn't it? The coldest it got a few weeks ago was 19...
Thanks all!
