Yes, you can - there was a thread on here not so long ago about hiring vs buying, & if you hire they sort out the roof bars & everything for you.

ooh thanks will try and find that thread

We hired on when we went camping- we had to have our own roof bars though.

This was through a local company though and not a chain.

Good luck, Lilyloo - I can't find it!

If you google roof box hire there are lots of links to companies which specialise.

Lilyloo, If you need one next week, what are the chances you're going to need one again? You may have left it a bit late if it's for next week, but buying second hand is always a good idea as these things cost a bomb considering what you actually get. We just bought a "pre loved" roof box from an advert in our local yellow paper for £60. There are also loads on e-bay, you're bound to find a couple within pick up distance.

Enjoy your trip!

Hi, you should try www.yorkshireroofboxhire.co.uk. They also rent out the roof bars and deliver and fit for free.

Reputable family business, reasonably priced.

Great idea to hire one as they are so expensive to buy and take up a lot of space when they are not being used.
