camping 6 people, no car, possible?

just spent a lovely day at fen farm on mersea island, and remembered what i loved about camping as a kid.

but in less than 2months we will be carless.

is it possible to go camping without a car?

yes, IMHO
lots of folk on here have either tried it or do it regularly - there was a recent thread about campsites near railway stations. Presume you'd need to get some 'clever' luggage and packing tricks, but I don't think the car or lack of one would stop me. Very useful, yes, but not essential.
