A coleman 36 l xtreme or halfords www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_196865_la ngId-1categoryId_165657.

Halfords one is half the price of the coleman but I'm not sure about running it on the car lighter. Is that a pain?

Coleman gets good reviews.... we bought a cheap electric coolbox looks v similar but not from Halfords can't remember where was rubbish... proabably not helped by dh refusing to leave on when parked in case the car battery went flat but did not remain cool at all once off power so not much use as a cool box... woudl go for coleman out of the two..

Rhe Halfords one will be the same as any standard coolbox when it's not plugged in. So it'd give you 24 hours? I suppose it depends if you'll always have EHU or for how long you'll use it? I don't have any experience of them.

I have the Coleman 36l and it's a great box. We take if for long weekends as we have a 3 way fridge for long breaks. If you pack it right and pre-chill then it really is still cold inside 5 days later. I've taken it for a last minute night or two away, chucked in some food and a few ice-packs, it still does the job.

We've had lots of use from ours not aways camping. The only thing to watch out for is the size!
