I appear to heave become a camper by stealth.

Went to latitude as a virgin camper two weeks ago and am off to Wicksteed with a group for August bank hols.

I bought an oregon outwell on rcommendation of a lovely mumsnetter who even found me a dirt cheap deal, and good old thing withstood the thunderstorm and torrential downpour we had every night. Not a drop of rain in the tent!

Cooked breakfast every morning on my trangia (note to self : LONG matches next time).

And now I'm "a Camper" I have ordered two fat arics for DS and I.

I am even considering a folding camper next year! Is there any hope for me?

none whatsoever - i would love a folding camper but worry its a bit too close to a tin tent caravan to be classed a proper camper

my cunning plan is that my arthitic mother may come occasionally if above ground like a folding camper with a toilet.

Otherwise no chance.

Still I'm a proper camper this year at least - who ever would have thought it at 44!
