Hi we are looking to book next years holiday in the next few days but are struggling to make a choice.

We will be going with Eurocamp or Keycamp in a tent with then 4 year old. We do the Dover-Calais crossing because its free and dont mind the drive.

This year we went to La Garangeoire and loved it but dont know whether to try something new next year. We had dodgy weather so have done quite a few of the visitor attractions so not sure there would be enough a second time around.

However my dd loved the bouncy castle, playground and trampoline there, and not sure if you get these at every site?

What we need are clean toilets and showers, paths to bike on for dd, play facilities and a pool. Local attractions like a farm ,nature reserves etc a bonus as is a beach.

we are considering La Garangeoire again, Les Ecureuils at St. Hilaire and La Baie in la Trinite sur Mer but are open to suggestions.

There is no way of telling from brochure so all opinions welcome. Thanks.

We went to St Hilaire Les Biches with keycamp a couple of years ago, but I am pretty sure that they have eurocamp there too. It's a good site, not too big, with a nice pool and a good atmosphere.

Le Ty Nadan do Eurocamp, well they did about 3 years ago when we went with our own Caravan. Site is great, next to a river lots of activities which you pay for but are good value. Indoor & Outdoor swimming pools & flumes, free.

We've done Les Ecureils (St Hilaire) and La Garangeoire.

We've been back to St Julien and have now booked it again; we haven't been back to St Hilaire.

For the latter, it's close to the beach, but it's hard with a pushchair as the path is through the dunes. It was also too windy for our then 8 month old in the grotty summer of 2007. Being on the coastal drag you really feel it when the wind blows or it rains.

La Garangeoire is one of the best equipped sites around; very few have the warmth of welcome that it offers, ime. St Hilaire was nice, but La G soooo much better.

I think that we may eventually head further south, but love La G for the time being.
