Hi, I posted a thread here about my camping website mums-tent as I thought it'd be a good place to meet and discuss camping/caravanning,show pictures, talk about anything really? I've now changed the privacy settings because it's a family site. It's easy to join though and you'll get a warm welcome

Mumsnet HQ are ok about this as they know it's non profit and just for fun. I asked permission first

Yay! It's getting busy with members now only started it last week

bumping then off to shop for camping food. Having chickpea and ved bake tomorrow for tea and panackelty on sunday...freezing that and defrost tomorrow night.
Just going to throw some stuff in the breadmaker so we have a big loaf to take.

I had a fab weekend, everything worked out well. Saturday to my fave pub then walk to low force. Good day round Bowes museum on Sunday when it rained kids were free They played with lots of kids on the site until late evening. Today Barnard castle where we bought a bow and arrow so ds1 thought he was robin hood.

it's quiet at mums-tent. Can't only be me camping?
I've got camping gear taking up the living room ready for this weekend. Mixed weather apparently but we need to try out the new tent.

just returned from weekend trip with my friend and our 4 children in 1 tent and 1 car!
we go every year without our husbands and its great.

just put our tent up in the back garden for an airing - off camping (dont know where) sometime in August & cant wait

Wow how did you do it with 1 car? Did you have a roof box? We do it as minimally as possible and have a roof rack - albeit a small one, there's 2 adults and 2 children.
