For camping?
It would be ok if you own a Transit van to drag all your stuff around in.

Washersaurus · 16/07/2009 20:30

Judging by the reviews, obviously not...

I'm sure there are more comfortable camping beds available at that price.

Katymac · 16/07/2009 20:33

People carrier with only 4 seats in....& roof rack

I guess so....shame - it's off the ground

What about this one Katymac? It is off the ground and it can wear a valance too

Furball · 16/07/2009 21:54

what about something like this?

we've bought these as off the ground, comfy, not too bulky and very easy to put up/down

Katymac · 16/07/2009 22:11

That might work Furball

Shame they don't do doubles as the children will be in another tent

If you can spend a little more, consider getting a decent fishing bedchair, preferably a good make like Nash or Trakker.
Thousands of fishermen use them every night. They are built to last, and you can pay as much as you can afford really, from £40-£300, and although you get what you pay for, even the more basic models are tough, comfortable, very well made. More expensive models are usually lighter and stronger, with more padding, or might be wider or longer for different shape/size people.
My mid-range JRC bedchair cost around £80 about 10 years ago and is still going strong. The nearest current model is something like this

There are loads of sites out there selling them, but this is a decent starting point.
