Anyone know any small campsites there?

Dh and I ready to murder each other/ spend holiday in damn garden

There are some lovely campsites around Sherwood forest in Nottinghamshire, not sure about small campsites though, how small are you thinking?

nowhere with any kind of play facility

or anything else that might encourage people to talk to one another eg shop, clubhouse, swimming pool

We are the most miserable antisocial campers ever

I don't know how big the actual campsite is, but Rufford is a lovely national trust place with great cycling and near Sherwood forest.
There's a small campsite next to the National Watersports Centre which is a couple of miles from the centre of Nottingham.
If you do decide to go somewhere in notts I can advise you on days out and stuff.

really have you looked on ukcampsites ? There are loads on there. I agree with luckylady Rufford is lovely.

I know nothing about the area, except it is not far from a wedding we are going to the weekend before our holidays so we could just set off from there
