Which sleeping bag for SW France (Dordogne) in August?

Hi, just been hijacking the other sleeping bag thread but I have absolutely no idea what sleeping bags I'll need for France in August? Will it be that hot at night that a 2 season one would be too warm or should we still be cozied up in a 200 (whatever that means)??

I would like a polycotton or similar comfortable lining and can spend up to about £30ish each. I feel the cold but DH is a radiator.

Also, I have just bought DS(3) a novelty Bob one - am I being mean - should he have a "proper camping make" one??

Any advice/recommendations greatly appreciated, thanks.

OK, the novelty Bob one shoould be just right but it depends on how cold at night. Our DC were fine in novelty ones at that age in Normandy / Brittany in August. I'd take him a fleecy blanket too.

Do you and your DH sleep together? We do and he is hot and I feel the cold - we have 2 cheapish Decathlon ones (one season?) zipped together, with an extra one on top if it is particularly chilly, but then we don't dress up in bed

My DC are now older and camp with cubs, etc in GB so I have bought them both 2 season ones now - they will probably be too hot in France next week

thanks bigTilly, good to hear I haven't been too mean to DS then!
Sounds like one season ones are the way to go then.
