Is there a campsite right on or near the south coast (Bournemouth area?)

We are thinking of going away for 1-2 nights this weekend to Bournemouth and can't seem to find a campsite right near the beach. Or just a really nice one (child friendly). Anyone have any recommendations? (Bar Sandy Balls ) Thanks

There aren't any in Bournemouth itself near the beach. Wherever you stay there'll be a bit of a drive to get to the beach.

I haven't stayed at either of these, but have a look at Merley Court or South Lytchett Manor on UK campsite. They've always looked nice to me.

Thanks By Bournemouth I mean Hampshire coast really - I just call the whole area Bournemouth

lots of campsites near studland just over the ferry from poole here for example

Poole is far nicer than Bournemouth and Purbeck great for camping

Around Corfe Castle area - very beautiful - Toms field - nearly always full. Woodhayes on on road to Swanage - basic but lovely open fields esp field 3. Someone recommended one at East Creech.
