Can you suggest, oh camping people, a site for our very first camp?

Somewhere within an hour or so of London, suitable for a weekend with a toddler? We need a practise run before Latitude!

Hurley Riverside. That's where we went for our virgin family camp. Very nice, good washing facilities, near a nice walk along the Thames (but not near enough to fall in!), very peaceful, well-laid-out so cars don't drive past tents.

that looks nice, but I can't quite get excited about camping in Maidenhead! Is there anywhere by the sea, that you know?

no beach but this a v easy site and not far from marlborough...so can get essentials/go to waitrose/cafe etc which is v important on 1st trip
