And I'm so excited I think I may burst. I have never been so excited about anything before. I have a big, silly grin on my face 24/7.

Its a 1986 T25 High Top, 1.9ltr Turbo Diesel. A very nice man has owned her for the last 11 years and taken very good care of her.

There are 4 beds inside, fridge, sink, double hob and grill.

I went shopping yesterday and got loads of bits like plates, cups, cutlery, pans. There's loads of storage/cupboards.

Not picking her up till next week as I'm waiting for the cheque to clear. Will be going away in her next weekend. She's blue and DD has christened her Bluebell.

tinateaspoon sell your tents and get one!!! Do it! You only live once, surely better than a pram purchase etc....hehehehe

maxybrown · 12/06/2009 19:10

We have a camper van. It's lovely. Who's sleeping up top?

MrsMotMot · 12/06/2009 19:44

Oh I am , , .

In laws have a 1971 T2 Devon conversion we used as our wedding car and we borrow her from time to time. Dark green with white pop top. They are just the best. Enjoy and give us a toot if you pass us on the road this summer...

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 12/06/2009 20:05

DD will be sleeping up top. There isn't any foam/mattress up there at the minute so need to get that sorted. She may have to use a camping blow up mattress for a while as the priority is gettign a 3rd seatbelt put in. Which I imagine won't be cheap.

None of us! We have pop top but all sleep downstairs at the min. Nice nad snug actually, we have loads of room as we have full width bed, plus DS is skinny

tinateaspoon · 12/06/2009 20:30

sell our tents, oh no I couldn't, I love them too much. But when they get old and leaky, maybe something more solid will appeal

Maxy - Button moon is tops

james79 · 12/06/2009 20:32

How fantastic!! I too have been bursting with excitment because we are picking ours up tomorrow!!!!!! A T25 Devon moonraker. Haven't thought of a name yet but lots of suggestions from DD's friends...really excited and have been filling the conservoratory with all the kit. I think we will keep it packed up too and just grab clothes and go! SKSS- i think you can order seatbelt kits from Just Kampers and either fit them yourself (think they'd need welding plates/mounts) or get your garage to do it. I think they are about £40 to buy. Maxy-i think we may have silmilar tastes! Certainly in clothes...yours are always sooo lovely Sorry for hijack CONGRATS!!!

maxybrown · 12/06/2009 20:47

yes, but if you had a camper, the tents would be...what tents? Tents? I don't know what you're talking about?

Yes button moon is fab. Have just ordered some dvds for DS I will MAKE him like it. DH suggested we only ever let him watch things from 70's & 80's and he'll be in a complete time warp without even knowing it...lol. i have a wicked Husband!

Ooh james79 i'm so glad you got one! I did reply on your other thread about insurance...DH not told me who it is yet, but expect you're sorted now You must be so excited!!! Although, I think we get more excited now as we do more and more to make her ours

By the way everyone, she meant my DS's clothes are lovely mine more resemble a tent

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 12/06/2009 21:53

Seatbelt kits are £80, don't know how much of a job it is to fit it (van doesn't have the mounting bracket things). Buy way beyond me. So then I will have labour costs on top (gulp). I estimate between £200 and £300.
