We're off to La Garangeoire in the Vendee for the first time this summer. last year we went to Brittany and got pissed on rained on for two weeks so we decided to try somewhere (hopefully) a bit sunnier.
I see from previous posts on here that it's popular site. Anyone else going there this year?

Fatzak where were you?? Last day at La Garangeoire;I have been hunting for a grey volvo to no avail (sad emoticon). I did leave a note on what I hoped was your car but realised it wasn't.

Still, hope you enjoyed it a much as we did. Loved it though initially had the grumpiest neighbours but thankfully they left. We will be coming back for sure. What did you think of La Garangeoire?

This bl&&y PC is doing my head in so will get kids from kids club qnd head back to tent.

Hope all's good with you, so sorry we didn't manage to meet up!
xx

Hello Mummyisamonster!!! Just back today after a fantastic time - have put in a request for a pitch next year. We were in a very odd spot - a pitch called Camomiles which was amongst all the Eurocamp and Keycamp mobile homes. It was down as if you were going to the go karts but two up on the right!! We had such a good time - I popped onto Mnet to leave you a message but like you gave up on those computers!!!Where abouts were you? I did spend all the time trying to spot who might be you and kept thinking "I'll ask MisaM if she had ...."

Will chat later - glad you had a good time but shame about your neighbours.

hi, i know this thread is old and there's probably no one reading this, but if you are, and if you have been to La Garangeoire, could you give me any suggestions for which pitch to ask for? We will be taking our tent and have three small children. we would like to be close to the new modern shower block, but far from the evening entertainment! thanks

Yes, Courlis and Marillons are nice big pitches next to the shower block. We stayed on Courlis this year, and I'd be happy to have that pitch again.

How funny to see this thread appearing - I was fatzak back in the days!! We're thinking about camping in France again next summer so may well give La Garangeoire another visit.

I am looking at this place for this year - are the statics any good there? I'd really like a spacious site with space to sit outside at the end of the day.
