Advice please for an August camping trip to the Western Isles? Never really been in real midgie country before. dd seems to get eaten instantly by flying beasties, so I'm a little wary! Can I spray my tent with a deterrent or something? I've bought some avon skin-so-softly bug guard. I read neem oil is quite good so I could add some to our hair conditioner perhaps?

it's in the blue bottle here
It didn't cut the mustard on our most recent midge fest camping trip though. We all still got bitten (me the most)
Better than nothing though...i probably would have got eaten alive without it.

Yet another vote for the Skin so soft like troutpout's link. We just got back from Skye and it really seemed to do the trick.

We're going to Aviemore -> Skye -> Muck next week. I have got barrels of different midgie repellent, Skin so soft, a cottage on a hill near the sea, midge netty hat things (which make me claustrophobic just thinking about them).

Can I book your ds seeker? As I'm usually the bait in my family.
