Anyone got a T2 or a T25/T3 camper?

I'm looking to get a camper and torn between what to get.

My heart tells me to get a T2 as they look so great. But my head tells me a T3 will be more reliable, cheaper maintanance, cheaper to buy, more space.

I'm just worried if I get a T3 I'll always regret not gettign a T2.

We have a T3 and love it!

Sure, the T2's are prettier to look at (well, initially, but I love my 'brick' now!), but the T3's are roomier, generally more reliable and a little bit faster.

Pretty much all that your logic told you .

Don't be swayed by those on-the-surface good looks!

does it have to be a vw?

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 02/06/2009 15:05

I would like a VW more than other brands. I haven't seen anything else that catches my eye enough to consider.

Harimad - what engine do you have in yours and what mpg do you get?

check out autosleeper (they are sometimes vw anyway) they do excellent camper conversions. i think it is worth having a look at a few different types.

sorry just remembered you need to use as main car. are their any dealerships near you, probably best to go and ask questions there.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 02/06/2009 15:17

I've not found any dealers near me yet, no. Will keep looking.

autotrader is a good place to sniff out dealerships. they are strangely evasive.

Thanks, have found a few now via autotrader. On a T25 forum someone said that diesl T25s should be avoided as the engine doesn't last. Is that true?
