OK, so we're going camping tonight, first time ever, what do we need?

Apart from the obvious(tent, airbeds, bedding).

We're only going for one night (stargazing) and we're only 10 miles from home, so we really can travel light.

Oh, and I probably should mention we're camping at my Parents' farm so if we forget anything we can just pop into the house. DCs are keen to do it at least a bit properly though, and it's taken us 6 years to pursuade DP even this far!

your parents have a farm? invite me next time!! We just got back from camping today (just a two night trip) and it was great.

You just need something to make the coffee/heat up water and a BIG packet of biscuits and other munchable items to eat whilst star gazing!

My camping essential is ear plugs - especially on a farm - but I bet you've gone already. I suspect you are all sat in the kitchen wondering if its worth putting the tent up .
