Ok, my mind has been put at rest (thank you)! in regards to keeping warm.
Question 2...
I've bought an all in one pot/pan/methylated spirit burner (gotta be able to have a cuppa and warm our beans)!
My nan has made me worry now, I know the flame can be invisible in the day - but I think I'm sensible enough to cope.
Does/has anyone used one and are they any good? Or should I return it and get one of these portable gas stoves/hob thingies?
Space is a big issue which is why I thought the all in one option would be best.
