Camping on the Ile de Re (or in that area) - any recommendations please?

Will be going mid-June with our two year old DD.
(First time camping with her, so not sure what to expect )

Ooh I love the Ile de Re. Didn't camp there but so of you going! I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Have just done a search on mumsnet archives on Ile de Re and this question has been asked before.
The place seems to be a real favourite with families.

Looking over the mumsnet archives, somebody recommended the municipal campsite at St Martin de Re
Sound low-key (no swimming pool), so just up our street - only thing is that it's not walking distance to sandy beaches ... but you can't have everything
