Anyone camped at Swiss Farm in Henley

We used to live in Reading - in fact DS1 was born at the Royal Berkshire and we are going to take our temt and camp and visit friends.

Has anyone camped at Swiss Farm International?

I have a 4 year old and DS2 will be 3 the week we are going?

Did think about Wellington Country Park, but it works out much more expensive.

Any other ideas. we are going to be visiting Legoland, Child Beale, London, Henley and Reading at least

We did camp at Swiss farm yrs ago - also used to live in Rdg!
Far as I can remember it was fine we took young nieces with us and all had fun, plenty to do around there as you say. have been thinking about going back with daughters but not made it yet!

Hi we have been twice. Last time was only a couple of weeks ago. We like it. Showers and loos have been refurbished since last summer. We were given pitch on site, but opted to move to field so dd (4) could run wild and we could still see her. Lots os friendly people. Definitely recommend.HTH

We are going in June for a weekend so I hope it is good

Another local site is Hurley Riverside, Nearer maidenhead but handy for legoland, London etc.

Any recent recommendations?
Or sites close to Henley?

We went for Jubilee weekend (remember the weather?!) It's a v nice site & I did like the fact that you could easily walk into Henley for shops/eating out. Also was nice to take a boat out on the river for a few hours - houses to die for! One thing I would recommend is to search out the bigger shower block in the middle of the caravans/motorhomes area, rather than using the far smaller & not nearly so nice one provided on the camping fields. I don't think people knew it was there & that combined with the fact that caravans/motorhomes usually have their own bathrooms meant it was emptier, cleaner & nicer all round! HTH & have a good hol.

Yes it's lovely - spotless loos and showers, nice outdoor pool, little clubhouse bar thing and walking distance into Henley.

Thanks guys! Booked it. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks Wink for tip about showers!

We went for the Jubilee weekend too. Weather was awful but the site was lovely. Definitely going to go back.

We were there at the start of may. Lovely site - its now my "go to" site for quick weekend breaks.

Any recommendations on where to pitch?
Just myself and two dc (4&5) so want to make location as easy as possible. Safe and quiet. Space for them to run free whilst I read Blush '50 shadesBlush'
