Camping on the Lincolnshire coast?

Yes, I know Filey is nicer (Yorkshire pride emoticon) but we are looking for a beach a couple of hours from Sheffield. Can anyone recommend any campsites?

I cannot recommend any specific campsites but I would be very careful as the majority of the coast is very heavily commercialised - fine if you want or like that - if not do your research very thoroughly. I can recommend Woodhall Spa Camping and Caravan park, it is not on or anywhere near the beach but has a lovely outdoor heated swimming pool and is well seated for trips to skegness etc also has a cafe supermarket takeaways swing park handy on the doorstep for shops and is close to very nice residential area. It is in Jubilee Park.

We go there for a walk sometimes. It is over the road from a large wood.
About 30 to 40 mins from coast.

Snettisham Beach in North Norfolk very lovely and unspoilt - beautiful sand - perhaps look for something around there?

Anyhow enjoy your holiday whatever you do.

Thanks, that's useful to know.

All the coastal ones are jam packed every square inch, mainly with statics and aren't very pretty and certainly not peaceful.

Now I've never stayed here but have gone past it before and thought it looked nice. But its 20 mins from beach.

There is a little basic campsite at a little village called Anderby Creek which is about 5 miles from skegness along the coastal road. Its a very small place with just a couple of smallish static caravan sites (caravans look privately owned so not rowdy sites) and a couple of shops but a nice beach just a couple of minutes walk from the campsite. Not sure of the campsite name cos have not stayed there but friends have.

FeelingOld, that sounds ideal. Thanks.
