Static Caravan with an 18 month old?

I'm worried she'll be cold. It'll be September on the IOW.

Anyone any experience? Will she be OK if I just bundle her up inside her grow bag?

static caravans are quite warm, they have heating systems just like houses. I have been for a couple of long weekends with dd early may and end of october she was 9mo and 14mo and was fine with baby grow and sleeping bag.

If you are still worried take some long sleeved vests too.

Thank you - that's reassuring. I've booked it.

Semptember should be fine, temp wise.

If you are worried and there is no heating in bedrooms (often isn't) you could take a plug in heater of your own. Oil filled are ideal just to take the chill off. Just don't advertise to park owners you are bringing in your own heating.

I'm sure you'll be fine, we stayed in a caravan in April and September last year with our 1yo and had no problems. They had heating in the bedrooms (def. worth checking with owner) but it was either ON or OFF -- no temp control. So we would just blast it for an hour before bedtime and perhaps for an hour in the early hours when one of us woke for a wee!

Thanks - there is some heating apparently and I've booked it now so looking forward to it.

If you're planning on using a travel cot of your own, space can be very limited in the bedrooms and you might not be able to fit it in! Just maybe ask the owners/site people, hope you have fun.

Flutterbye - have checked and luckily there is space in the one we're going in, but not in some of the others as you say, so thanks for this.
