the plan is to book a camping holiday for three families near Disneyland Paris in the summer. I'm confused at the best way to do this - should I go through the big name companies or has anyone made a reservation directly with the campground? I have so many windows at the moment, I'm totally lost .

I looked at eurocamp independent, found what i liked and then looked up the site directly on google then emailed them. We are going near disney too. HTH

If you have tesco vouchers use them to book your crossing on euro tunnel as they are worth four time their value.

We did this ourselves a few years ago and
we booked direct with the site, its by far the cheapest way to do it as you dont pay any comissions. This does depend on how confident you are at travelling independengly and dealing with any issues you might have. I would say that in that region most sites will have english speaking staff.
We have a touring caravan and have done this as we felt we weren't getting much from the tour operators.
Also one good thing is that in most cases you only have to pay a deposit on booking and the full balance on the day you get there.

Oh Alex if you want any info on La croix du vieux pont we got back yesterday!

We're going to camping les etangs Fleuris in Touquin - about 15m from Disney. I booked with canvas and used tesco vouchers so it was all free (except for Disney tickets). My mate is going with me and she has used Tesco vouchers for the tunnel and booked direct with the site/. She said it was cheap 9 months ago (when we booked) but not now thanks to the euro - so do your homework!! This site has been recommended to us by lots of people!
