Camping Novice - needing advice on which tent to buy

We are going camping for the first time, in the first week of July. I've tried looking online for tents and am completely over-whelmed and confused. Any advice on a good tent to buy would be much appreciated.

There will be four of us - me, Dh, DD 3.8 and DS 2.1

We need two sleeping areas. DS will be in a travel cot and we were planning for Dh to sleep on an airbed in with him, and for DD and I to share a double airbed in the other area.

I am not a fan of creepy crawlies so we definitely want a sewn in groundsheet to minimise their entry.

Can anyone recommend a good tent? I would really appreciate any help at all. Thank you

i would recommned at least a 6 berth tent and a HH of 3000

if you have a SIG get a footprint too, as otherwise it is difficult to wash the tents ground sheet when sewn in, but you can hose off a foot print much more easily.

also i would get some rock pegs and not rely on the rubbishy ones that you get with the tent.

also if you have a SIG its good if you can open the 'SI' bit by the doors (like on my vango) otherwise its easy to trip over everytime you go in and out, especially with toddlers

thank you, that's really helpful. It's all a bit like another language to me.
