Oooh

We have a coleman and I love it, but it is sturdier than they seem, so not sure if it would be similar. I like both yours, but I can't see how the second one can fit 10 - and it seems to have two rooms that add up to more area than the whole tent which can't be right. So I'm leaning towards tent 1.

MrsPurple · 24/03/2009 22:22

honestly both seem very similar, but the coleman has an integrated ground sheet which can help with leakage etc.

As the price is very similar I'd go Coleman due to well known brand.

However you don't say what you need to use it for?

Is it for big family holiday? How many people (with blow up beds do you need to fit in? From my experience (we have 9 man for 4 of us as bedrooms only just fit double blow up bed, although do state for 3 people each room, we use third room for storage), tents always say can fit more people than is actually comfortable.

Colemans also seem to have better reviews for bad weather and wind.

NeedCoffee · 24/03/2009 22:27

thank you both for your input

The only thing about the coleman is it seems to take up a lot of room compared to the other one, it is only going to be for 2 adults, a 9 year old and a toddler initially, maybe have others join us sometimes.

Not sure how they work the 2nd one out, why can't they bloody put the floor plans like most sites do?

Oh i hate having to decide this kind of thing!!

id go for the coleman over the other one

but actually i wouldnt buy either for use in england

i would want a hydrostatic head of at least 3000... as i would want to stay dry when it rains!

MrsPurple · 24/03/2009 22:34

need coffee we bought a brillent tent from an ebay seller last spring for less than a £100, and it was the one I described before 3 beds for 9 people although I'd say with the beds it is better suited to 6 people.

Always better to get it bigger than you need, as it is your living space for the time your there.

NeedCoffee · 24/03/2009 22:43

Ah NannyL, I was chuffed they where 2000!

Yes i think i will go for the Coleman one, its only going to be for occasional use anyway, does anyone know what size limits sites usually incur or is it usually by the person?

limites are usually around 20 feet. and my tent which is huge fits within this. Just.

NeedCoffee · 24/03/2009 22:49
