Check the sizes, we got the biggest double we could find, because, although I'm little, Dh is over 6ft, and ours is long enough for him to be at full stretch and still have his shoulders snuggled in. It has room enough for dd (3) to come in for a snuggle in the mornings too.

It's worth checking offers on the outdoor megastore

Can you get double sleping bags that you can zip togther to make a massive one?

DH wants a double but I don;t think it'll be big enough fo rthe both of us.

Would love to take a duvet, but until I can get a massive car we don;t have the room!

Oregonian - Wilsonville. as soon as we get shut of the nursery fees for 2 ds's we will start to save for the trip.
I'd rather go when we don't have all the faff of baby car seats - and when they will be old enough to remember it!
His sister is in LA and another in SF so we are planning to go for a month in the 6 wk school holidays and see everyone/tour around.

Wilsonville is a nice place. Portland is soooooo lovely, and it's really close to Wilsonville. Also go to McMinnville (that's where I went to uni!), and definitely drive down along the old highway on the Oregon coast; say, from Lincoln City to Gold Beach, then see the redwoods -- amazing trip, trust me. Plenty of nice places to camp along the way too.
