Camping with 20 month old and any site recommendations in New Forest?

Hi

We are going on a trial run at Easter before our summer holiday (although still yet to decide between Khyam or Outwell tent!!)

Firstly what would you recommend lo slept in/on? Should we take travel cot or is there some sort of intergrated bed/sleeping bag combo suitable for this age?

Secondly we are going to New Forest so can anyone recommend a good site with good facilities but not overly busy?

Haven't been myself but my Sister and family and assorted friends with their dcs often go to Hollands Wood in the New Forest.Think its near Brockenhurst.

We use Nomad kids travel bed with self inflating mattress, much lighter and more compact than a travel cot and longer so lasts til they're older. I think Forest Holidays have a couple of New Forest sites that are meant to be good.

You'll be fine with either Khyam or Outwel, have had / have both makes, never an issue.

We love Hollands Wood,wonderful site, would recommend wholeheartedly. Not so keen on the othre Forest Holidays site but i cant remember the name- begins with a H also though. Ashurst seems nice when we've looked at it.

I'd go for travel cot or ready bed; put blankets underneath as that is where most cold comes from, and severalmore on top. Even put them under the travel cot, helps immensely.

Easter may not be too b usy but all sites are busy these days tbh, it's just how it is whilst camping is trendy.
