cos i just tried and bloody hell it was hard work!

do you peg it down as you go along, cos as we were threading the poles through the whole thing was falling over and blowing about it the wind.

also we appeared to have one odd pole, and the instructions weren't very clear on the which were the side poles/how/when to put the side poles in.

if anyone has any pitching tips i'd be very grateful, cos i can't imagine trying to put it up in more than a light breeze...

we have the wolf lake btw. thanks xx

We have a Norfolk lake and the simplest way to do it (making sure you don't have the groundsheet zipped in) is to thread a pole at a time, (aren't your main tent poles threaded?) peg the bedroom end guy line out and then put the tent ring into it's pole. Stand the tent up and move onto the next pole 'standing the tent up' as you go - you will need two of you - one on each side of the tent. The do the opposite end guy and the thing should stand up.

The side poles are much smaller/thinner than the main tent poles. poles that 'stretch it out' are a bit more tricky - you have to thread them into their slots then stretch the pole out and tighten up the clips.

Is that clearer? or not.... We can put our up in 30 minutes including zipping in groundsheet.
