We have just bought our first caravan, please recommend a lovely campsite we can visit at Easter

On the wish list;
Not too big or noisy but more than a field with a loo in the corner
playarea for DD
nice loos/showers
easyish access - no narrow, winding roads to get to it.
Interestign things close by - small towns, the sea(?), toddler friendly stuff

I would love to go to the lake district - especially Windermere, but we have so far failed to find anywhere with availability.
Also considered peak district, the new forest.

We live in West Yorkshire but having 4/5 days break so happy to travel for a coupe of hours.

Can thoroughly recommend it and loads to do in the area. The forest itself would keep you busy for days plus there's Bournemouth nearby. Loos and showers are great; there's a play area, a little shop and a pub which does meals. The site is off the beaten track but easily accessible and it has electric hook-up if you want it.

suggest get a weekend not too far from home for your first trip out so you can get at 'facilities' for anything you've forgotten - or didn't even know you needed
we went 20 miles from home on our first trip - lol!

maybe take a look at Campsite UK website, it comes with lots of reviews, also perhaps if you have a spare £35 or so, join the caravan club or camping and caravanning club - their guides are brilliant and club sites in both of these are of a really high standard (we're in both, they are both great)

gigglewitch, already plannedour first trip, which will probably be a similar distance away...if not less!

Already joined the caravan club but i guess i wanted to cheat and miss out the long drawn out searching to help us create a short list!
