Nave you put the trip on route finder?

This will give you an idea of how far the place is and how long it would take you to drive.

french motorways are good and wee stops easy - pull of and pull back on on the airs.

I would spend 3 days and two nights and take in some other places along the way - carcisson, Barcelona, Lyon, Breve (sp?)

I drove back from a bit further souuth than Lyon to Madlands and it took me 12 hours to cover 700 miles and that included arriving at calais and getting on the boat within 35 minutes and straight of the boat the other side.

Could you sial from Plymouth to Santander? To reduce the driving - petrol and boat costs may be similar.
