Shropshire, with dog and tent - but where?

We are meeting up with friends - we drive north, they drive south, Shropshire is in the middle, we reckon. Each family brings 2dcs, 1 dog, 1 tent, lots of booze and food! Where shall we go that has stuff for kids not too many old folk with caravans and allows pets - any ideas?

Middle Woodbatch Farm near Bishop's Castle in Shropshire is good if you like somewhere quiet - it has only 10 pitches.

Great views, good shower facilities for showering with children, fridge, microwave, loads of animals for dcs to look at"

Saw this on the favourite campsites thread, hope sweetem doesn't mind, thought it might help

Fforest Fields. Not quite Shropshire but it is a LOVELY friendly campsite for dogs and kids. would heartily recommend. I live in Shrops btw so perhaps not the best person to answer re: ones in Shrops. If Bishop's Castle is too far North you really want Cheltenham / Gloucs.

yogabird · 12/02/2009 13:28

Symonds Yat is Fab! We met up there last year at Bracelands site. So, we need pastures new thanks though
