We need a bigger tent that is quick to pitch because it will be mainly for weekend use. Are these as quick to pitch as they claim to be? Any other thoughts?

We have a gelert twister 5 tent...it's huge and literally pops out of it's case, getting it back in is the tricky part but you do work out the way to roll it! We are a family of 6, dc's all uner 10 years and there is still loads of space! Downside is that it doesn't have a front storage compartment, and it is quite large although it is flat packed. Will try and find a link

Wow, thanks MrsD! We have been using something like that but it just isn't big enough! We have the Quechua 3xl air which you just throw up in the air. I think the Gelert packed size is actually a bit smaller than our current one. I didn't really want to spend hundreds on a bigger tent, particularly as we don't have room in the garden to practise pitching it or dry it out.

That one does look like an ideal solution for us! I'll try to see one in a camping shop before I buy. Thank you so much!

Oh btw my dh can stand up in it with room to spare, he's about 6 ft, it is big!

how quick is quick?

dp does it while i drunk cold beer watch

take about 10 mins (one man)

it is great for space, full standing height in bigger bedroom and main living area, little bedroom is kneeling height only,

we use it without the 2nd bedroom in which makes the living space massive (shelving unit, table and chairs, still space to walk about/lounge around in, room for the cooker/dishes/washing up stand thingie to come in at nights, space for the dogs bed,

we love it and dp searched for a long time to find his perfect tent that was not too expensive, this ticked all the boxes

10 mins sounds reasonable to me, especially if DH can do it by himself. Standing room is essential as we haven't got any at the moment.
