Can anyone recommend a good campsite near Yarmouth? Preferably near the ferry port.

TIA

It is fabulous but watch the wind - it can take tents down pretty rapidly in a gale there (shudders at memory of Easter)

ChippyMinton · 11/01/2009 23:00

have only stayed here in a caravan but it's a lovely quiet site with indoor pool if that's your kind of thing

hennipenni · 12/01/2009 14:34

Can second grange farm (also shudders at remembering how we had to hold the tent down in a gale)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/01/2009 16:57

ooo and the way the wind howls up the Chine.
dh has said no to any sites that face the sea this Easter. Coward!

Thanks for the wind advice! Am going to be on my own so holding a tent down single handed doesn't sound good!! ChippyM , that one looks nice. Ta for the help!

Went to Grange farm last June and loved it. We stayed in a cottage which was v nice although not that cheap. The campsite facilities were clean and the children loved the playground and the animals.
I'd be a bit careful camping there with young children as the campsie goes to the cliff edge.
