Yes, we stayed at the Siblu site at the Charente Maritime, Vendee. It was very nice, although a long drive from the ferry port (four or five hours if I remember correctly).

This year we went to a Keycamp place in Brittany here which we loved. We went with a 20 month old and a 3 month old and had a great time. Lovely walk into the centre, loads for children to do and a gorgeous, quiet beach on the other side of the road. Only five minutes walk! I'd recommend it, definitely.

Yes we did Siblu last year and it was great I think it was near Pont Aven.

thanks! was thinking of the one nr pont aven, called domaine de kerlann..could u tell me a bit more bout what u thought of it? was the outside pool freezing?! (we're going at the end of aug) what about teh local beaches? would they be good for a toddler?
was thinking bout going on the roscoff ferry - if u did that route was the drive ok (or am i mad to be contemplating doing it on my own?!)

We stayed at Le Bois Masson, in the Vendee and had a lovely time. We actually booked it through a Sun newspaper deal, so it made it really good value.

We drove down from Calais.

We have stayed at most SIblu sites. Domaine de kerlann is lovely, well spaced out and lots of play areas & paths. We enjoyed the entertainment as well.

The onsite shop is tiny and stocked next to nothing!

The beaches we first gound were small bays, rock pools & smelly! (Vast amounts of seaweed) but we found a super beach a little further away with huge sweeping sand and no smell!

We drove from DOver - too far! I would do Caen next time.

DISCLAIMER: We went years ago!!!

We actually now only go to sites where the beaches are walkable, and if you want to save money check out Matthews holidays as we have had great holidays with them.

Milliways · 27/11/2008 19:05

Oops! we drove from CALAIS, not DOver!!

yeah, was gonna say Siblu tend to eb a bit expensive. if you're looking at them cos of tesco vouchers, you can also use them with canvas holidays.

salo · 29/11/2008 19:44

yeah, was thinking of paying partly with vouchers...couldnt find canvas on the tesco website - are you sure?
