How do you get the tent back in its bag?

Got lovely new tent with sewn in groundsheet. Comes in very tidy 3 in 1 bag.

But how the hell do you fold tent so that it gets back in???

I do not believe this is possible.

Any tips?

Without seeing it Pea ...

Do it flat on the ground. Have the bag handy. Just get on with it and stop MNing.

It came out of there so it'll go back in.

That or make your feller do it.

i always start with the poles in the middle and then roll, roll, roll. tight and lots. takes practice and patience.

but better than stuffing a sleeping bag into the bottom of a rucksack.

Use the groundsheet as the guide to size. Everything else will tuck up neatly inside it. Envelopy folding of the canvassy bits.

Then just roll it up, kneeling on it to make the roll tight.

nah, it's not a rolling job surely. the bag is sort of pillow case sized and flattish. Like a, erm, pillow.

Needs folding. Can't imagine how we'll get it neat enough to go in.

I've only ever rolled. Sorry.

Are there instructions?

Dh found a video on utube showing how to fold our montana to get it back in bag (saddo)

PeaMcLean · 20/08/2008 20:15

Thanks washersaurus, I've just found it, though he's rolling at the end, which i think helps. His bag is deeper whereas ours is quite flat.

Loads of videos on how put down a pop up tent, ha ha.

The tent is back in its bag.

After two days drying, we've just folded a la Washersaurus's you tube clip.
