sil hasnt invited us to her caravan for the weekend there is enough space for the dd's inside the caravan but not for me and dh. we will be sleeping in an orning on the side of her caravan.

dh has asked me to blow up our guest bed, which is one of those rest form things that comes about a foot of the floor and is blown up with an electric pump, to make sure it is clean enough for camping and is not punctured.

now i have it up i am sure its far too big to go in orning. its about 1 foot high and the same width as a double bed! its a guest bed its not designed for camping. dh needs to borrow my mums and dads camping airbed doesnt he? or am i just being thick? would the restform bed be okay?

I'd take the rest-form one. It'll be the same size (width/length) as the camping one and will fit in the awning no problems.

are you sure? its taking up all my living room. i know it would be more comfy but surely its too big? but on the other hand im not even sure what an awning is?

this one would be too big for a tent i know that much.

If they have a full awning, which covers the length of their van then you'll be okay. If they just have a porch awning then you're stuffed with either I think. Call your PILs and ask them their opinion.

An awning is basically a type of tent that attaches to the side of the caravan - I'll find you a picture.

Here. I have slept on an airbed in an awning with DD next to me in her travel cot - it was fine.

ah mil is away on holiday i dont have sil's mobile number and i have lost my phone. im so disorganised today. i dont even know when they are setting off. sil is already there she got there yesterday.

ill send him with both i think. luckily i am not going tonight im meeting them there tomorrow so dh can let me know if there is anywhere for me to sleep tonight. he will just have to sleep on whatever he can fit in the awning. the dd's will be fine as they are in the caravan. i thought an awning was just like a gazeebo on the side of your caravan. guess i am just totally clueless when it comes to camping then!! we have always had tents.

You'll be fine, don't worry.
