Have spent the day ready for our camping trip to Biarittz.
I've been slightly concerned about the amount of new stuff we have this year, large fridge, various tarps, chairs etc so space is limited to say the least. I went to John Lewis yesterday and bought some of those vacuum storage bags,
OMG!! They're BRILLIANT! My duvet, pillows, blankets, ds's sleeping bags have been sucked and shrunk to a nice flat little package. why didn't I think of this before?
Am now a smug and happy camper (until Thursday when I try and get in all in the car.... sigh)

Do remember you have to shrink it all back down to get it back in the car on the return trip, won't you ?

We were feeling all smug with ourselves til we realised we wouldn't have a vacuum cleaner at the other end (dh improvised this mad Heath-Robinson thing with the ball off a bottle of Persil and the airbed pump )

no!

I've already worked that out!!!!!
the pump for the blow up mattresses does it!

Ingles2 how much are the bags? We only go camping for occasional weekends but still can't get everything in the car! These bags sound ideal.

lilolil
they we're £12 for the big one and £9 for 2 smaller ones but I'm sure you'll be able to get them cheaper on t'internet.
