Ok we have a tent, a huuuuge windbreak and a camping chef stove to go on top of a folding kitchen stand thingy, which has shelves to keep pots and pans etc on.

My question is- can I leave stand, stove, etc outside all the time hidden behind the windbreak?

Or wiil somebody nick it?

Wadda ya think?

I'd leave it out. DH usually brings it in and tells me I'm too trusting.

hercules1 · 01/08/2008 10:25

Leave it. We do.

PeaMcLean · 01/08/2008 10:26

Leave it outside. Whole tents with their posessions are left there all day and you can't lock up a tent.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 01/08/2008 10:30

Thats my thinking, I was just worried that about leaving it on 'display' as it were.....

We leave ours out (though it did all blow away one night when it was very windy )

GumsNRoses · 01/08/2008 10:33

Always leave mine out, never had a problem

LilRedWG · 01/08/2008 10:37

I need to show this to DH obviously.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 01/08/2008 10:39

Hmmm no 'nays' yet looks like its staying out in the rain glorious sunshine next week.

Washersaurus · 01/08/2008 11:29

We leave ours out in the extension at the front. I thought it was common practice tbh?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 01/08/2008 11:38

'Tis my first time camping with all the equiptment

In previous years we've just gone with friends who had their own

I'd leave it out too. The only time i'd move it would be because it was either very wet or very hot (thinking gas bottle...). We're off again camping this weekend too (our 3rd trip so far this year!). I love camping!

hereorthere · 01/08/2008 11:40

oh or very windy!!!!

milkybarsrus · 01/08/2008 11:41

leave it out all the time . camping involves a large element of trust me thinks.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 01/08/2008 13:45

Thanks everyone

Anyone else care to comment?

(Just a polite bump really)

forevercleaning · 01/08/2008 13:47

leave it outside, unless particularly windy or dodgy looking neighbs !

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 01/08/2008 19:07

lol at dodgy neighbours, as we are camping with friends....

Off in the morning, wish me luck

We tend to put most things in the boot of the car and lock it tbh.

But then we are (probably) over cautious Londoners.

zaphod · 01/08/2008 19:19

Leave it out.

iamdingdong · 01/08/2008 19:20

leave it, we do

Troutpout · 01/08/2008 20:11

Never thought to bring it in tbh

SpringfieldMum · 01/08/2008 23:13

Never thought to leave it out tbh!! Too long living in a city obviously!
