Do you? Always? I mean every single time without exception?

Just wondered if I'm missing a trick?

Don't know what men do ...DH has the bladder of a rhino so never needs to go. I imagine they do just bypass the funnel device and go straight to the bottle!

larkspur · 23/07/2008 23:12

Or pee in the hedge ... eughhhh

mumshadenough · 25/07/2008 08:19

These are quite good if you have space...

they dont tip and you can carry the bucket out to empty it when used.

I only drink wine after 6pm, so that I can be sure I go to bed anaesthetized and mildly dehydrated (bladder the size of a pea). I have never even thought of buckets or creative alternatives. I am so unimaginative.

fireandlife · 21/04/2010 20:12

I was just about to post about boginabag! I'm really tempted and wondered if anyone had tried it. It looks economical both in terms of cost and space. I imagine throwing away the bags is just like dealing with nappies. I like the fact that there are no sloshy chemicals. The bit about using it as a normal 'stool' when not used as a loo made me laugh - a lot - in a 5 yr old boy sort of a way!

Please let me know how you get on Crazy.

maxybrown · 21/04/2010 20:55

Oh my word that boginabag looks fab and really made me laugh too - in the same kind of way fireandlife

We had cassette toilet in caravan and that was fab.........not sure what we are doing yet in tent trying to not take everything we own with us either

rastababi · 23/04/2010 15:33

As children we had a bucket, but now I just don't drink after 9pm! DC still in nappies/pull ups so not an issue yet.

kodokan · 23/04/2010 22:37

We use the bucket/bin liner/cat litter system, but with a cunning addition: this child toilet seat.

You spin a wheel on the back which pushes out a couple of adjustable 'fins' to make it fit the toilet/ bucket really tightly, so it doesn't slip at all. I was very pleased to discover that it even works for really big bottoms.

And I've got a SheWee too - brilliant things. My 6 yr old DD is clamouring to be taught how to use 'Mummy's camping willy'. Hmmm... better put more of that waterless handwash gel on the list...

honeydragon · 23/04/2010 22:41

my dog would be devastated if we didn't use the toilet block, when pregnant with dd she lurved her midnight walk

and 2am walk
and 4am walk
and

you get the picture

ds and dh slept soundly throughout all.

specialmagiclady · 30/04/2010 22:43

I love the trip to the loo in the middle of the night... the stars... the quietness... the scary New Forest Ponies rampaging about. The sound of shagging. Hilarious!

navyeyelasH · 01/05/2010 12:15

the best bottle for weeing in is a Lenor bottle, it has a really wide neck
