High vis jackets compulsory in France?

Are they? Anyone know? We're off camping in France at end of month - got enough to squeeze into back of car wihtout 4 high vizzers!

What if you go to france you have to wear a high viz?

We have bought a 4 pack (2 adults and 2 children_ for £7 from Tesco.

originally they were to be compulsory from July 1st so we've got them - just make sure they are in the car not in the boot!
