A really muddy one I mean, and I want it properly clean

erm dunno - i guess they are to big to go in a machine?

This is why we don't have one! I use a couple of picnic blankets for 'early season camping carpets' instead..... but that doesn't really help does it?

What do they suggest on ukcamping?

Well thanks for replying anyway

I will see what they say on UKCamping. I'm pretty sure they can just be brushed or hosed down as all synthetic material and should dry quickly.

So, does noone here own a tent carpet? Or do you just not clean them...ever?

We have one, it has been used a lot and I have never washed it... but we never eat in the tent so it is still looking good.
If I needed to, I would probably hose and scrub with washing powder then hang on the line to hose it off/dry.

I only ask because we are BLW with DS2 and he usually makes a right mess! With the picnic blanket we used before it was easy to just pick it up and give it a shake and then stuff into the washing machine. Obviously we won't be able to do that with the carpet.

Washing powder sounds like a good idea, thanks.
