Where you going anyways??? (nosy emotcion)

Bowddee · 08/07/2008 20:39

No probs. (DS loves his TTE one)

Ladytophamhatt · 08/07/2008 20:56

Oh good, I'll get one for him then...I absoluley HATE teh travel cot.
I feel like burning the bloody thing.

We're going to cornwall, emma. Near perranporth.....I'm looking forward to it but the thought of driving all that way with 4 children in teh car makes me wantto cry.

We bought a El Cheapo toddler airbed in the camping shop yesterday for a tenner - better than the ready bed for a really little one too as it had an edge (iyswim)all the way round, rather than just at the sides.

Perfectly good for 2 weeks

Ladytophamhatt · 08/07/2008 21:02

Oh, have you got a link for that cmo?

OOh I've seen that one too cmot. We bought a readybed for DS1 for our camping trip last week and it went down in the middle of the night leaving us a bed short!

I will be replacing it with an airbed and sleeping bag me thinks...

Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 21:08

Was it this one?

Did you get it locally cmot?

milkybarsrus · 08/07/2008 21:15

please do a link for us? pretty please? a tenner is affordable but twenty quid for a ready bed isn't at the mo!

Ladytophamhatt · 08/07/2008 21:15

That loosk FAB!

I might get one of those instead....

I am going ga ga i know, but please put me out of my misery and show me?

cmotdibbler · 08/07/2008 21:24

Thats the one Washersaurus - we had an outing to Attwools at Gloucester yesterday (trying to buy another powerpack for DH to power his CPAP off whilst at Le Mans - he failed on that, but we still spent a disturbing amount).

Its here

It inflates incredibly fast, and DS spent 45 minutes bouncing on it last night with some glee. Can't wait to try it

MorocconOil · 08/07/2008 21:26

We've had 2 ready beds that went down during the night. Would never buy another.

Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 21:29

Oooh we were at Attwoolls on sunday, I like that shop

Bowddee · 08/07/2008 21:29

DS's TTE My First Ready Bed has never deflated during the night. Not even when he uses it as a trampoline.

Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 21:31

It was a TTE one that we bought from Woollies last week. We patched up a hole in it but there must be more because it went down again the next night after a couple of hours.

DS1 ended up sleeping in DS2's travel cotbed and we had to have DS2 in bed with us. DS1 was mighty disappointed. I couldn't recommend the Readybeds after that I'm afraid.

MorocconOil · 08/07/2008 21:32

Must have bought seconds. I bought them at TKMaxx.

cmotdibbler · 08/07/2008 21:32

It was my first time there, and I was amazed at their range of accessories. Where we lived before we were blessed with a shop with a great tent range very close to us, but nowhere near the same range of stuff

Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 21:33

By the way LTH, our travel cotbed (enormous beast that it is) = godsend for putting up/taking down tent and for somewhere to put escapee baby who kept trying to escape out of tent onto the wet grass .

Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 21:35

It was our first time there too cmot, we were very impressed. Although I am still a fan of Barratts in Feckenham for their tent display.

cmotdibbler · 08/07/2008 21:41

See, now you've got DH Googling them. We already have 2 tents, so heaven only knows why we need to look at others. But the urge is strong..

Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 21:44

Aah well we just take the kids up there for a day out sometimes , we love to run around all the tents

Ladytophamhatt · 08/07/2008 21:50

hmmmm, have to admit I hadn't thought of the escapee child factor.
Ds4 was non mobile baby last year sso it didn't matter....this yr will be a diff matter.

Hmmmmmm

I actually put both the 3yo and 11mo (with some books) into our travel cot at one point just to keep them contained

Ladytophamhatt · 08/07/2008 22:08

I'm not sure what to do now.

the travel cot takes up half of the bedroom area so its a real PITA. This FAB airbed woudl be perfect.

But putting up and taking down the tent with 4 children is a fecking nightmare.
Containing the smallest will make the process loads easier.

BUT I know, without a shadow of doubt he will bo balistic in there if I put him in awake. He'll want to be out with his big brothers...

I'm not sure what will be more stressful.

Taing down the tent with him on the loose or taking down the tent with him going mad in teh travalcot.

OP posts:
Washersaurus · 08/07/2008 22:14

Oh that is easy to fix - get a bigger tent

Ummm can you stick an older sibling in with him and make it a game? That is what we did, DS2 really doesn't like being held captive in his cot unless he has his big brother to distract him.
