moondog, was he on the highstreet? or was I being very dim?

moondog · 27/06/2008 23:13

High street??!
He is a little way out of Tudweiliog.

Cockles were ace in pasta with wine and also in chilli noodles. My childminder let me in on this site. She took my kids cockling at half term. How bloody great is that!?

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:15

Don't be too jealous, weather has been shite for days now. My car was nearly blown over in veritable hurricane driving into Porthmadog yesterday.

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:20

Lucycat, do you need to go and do some lying down with a flannel yourself dear?

We certainly lucked out on the weather while we were there. People keep asking me where I have been on holiday (because of my impressive tan) "oh just over to the Lleyn" I say, nonchalantly.

I always get a with that.

Weather is shitty shite here in chester too.

Lucycat · 27/06/2008 23:22

nah - just watching Wossy and typing with one finger - I love the LLeyn - wanna see the Ty Coch in the dark?

moondog · 27/06/2008 23:22

Now Chester is lovley (altohugh i had the worst glass of wine ever there last Sunday in pub opposite station waiting for my connection.

I think it is the first time in my life i have not drunk a glass of wine given to me.

I keep on promising myself a shopping trip but never have the time!!

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:24

now for those who may be lurking here (not that many I imagine) they might think that a rather rude question.

I do have that webcam bookmarked somewhere........

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:26

Shopping in chester is lovely. I love the Rows. Browns (debehnams) is deeply dodgy but otherwise it's great.

Lucycat · 27/06/2008 23:26

Here you go!

truly stunning isn't it!

wait until morning and tis true!

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:28

magnificent

moondog · 27/06/2008 23:31

Is Browns dodgy? i was thinking of booking a personal shopper there.

Lucycat · 27/06/2008 23:32

Browns is Debenhams, I used to work for them!

moondog · 27/06/2008 23:34

Is it shite though?
Haven't been in for years.

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:37

Well maybe not dodgy, just a wee bit tired. I always go in there all hopeful wanting a new outfit and always come out disappointed. Everything is all higgldeypiggledy and super squashed and there is always god awful music playing in each section of womens wear, so as you saunter between the different 'shops' you have to endure several horrid songs.

OK that made me sound about 60.

It's a shame as it could be great but just doesn't seem to do it for me.

The personal shopper might be good though as at least they know where all the stuff is.

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 23:39

I did get a nice summer coat in there but God did I have to hunt for the coats.

Another good site to use is Adflyer.co.uk I use this when looking for a nice bargain!
