Avoiding night time trips to the loo (both me and a 3 year old)

Hey. Im off camping shortly on a family campsite. I am going with my 3 year old as well as my older children. The area we camp is 5 mins walk from the toilet block but last year I hated getting up 3am to find it whilst panicking my then 2 year old would be woken. Its 50-50 whether she will wake in the night, i dont want to encourage her to wee in a nappy as we're done and dont want to go backwards. I am pretty certain a night trip will frighten her though. Me though, 90% certain I will need a wee in the night and I do not want to leave the tent for fear of waking her, and that once im cold from putting shoes on etc I'm alert.

Any suggestions pls. I have seen the idea of a wee bucket which I think I could get away with my little one maybe but I'm embarrassed to use it

We’ve used a bucket with a toilet seat attached before and we’ve even used a potty for us all in the night! You can also get bags with crystals in that you can wee in and it turns into a solid and then just throw in the morning.

We used a wee bucket at night even before we had kids!!!!! So much easier!! Just pop it in a black bin liner pulled up round it during day & pushed down to the bottom at night incase any drips!! Empty on first toilet trip in morning wipe down with anti bac wipe ) retire-tie bin bag. Worked for years for us!! One with a lid is best!!!!

I have read on here people use cat litter too.

This. Buy some ‘traveljohns’ on Amazon (the bag with crystals). It’s filled with the same stuff that nappies/sanitary towels are made from.

They sell a pink one called a ‘traveljane’ which is exactly the same product but more expensive. Swerve that one.
