Hi we are considering our first family camping holiday, there are for of us me, DH DS1 aged 5 and DS2 aged 22 months. WE have looked at a number of tents at our local Yeomans display and liked these but can't decide if the XL is too big or just right as we haven't quite worked out yet how much equipment we will need. Any advice from seasoned campers? Thx

We have the xl and although it looks huge from the outside we still manage to fill it!!
When we first got it our youngest was in a travel cot in a pod on his own, us in one and our oldest in the other, however we now put both boys in one pod on a double airbed. This means we have one bedroom section free for all the clutter we manage to have.
We did find that because of the size some sites wanted to charge for a double pitch (haven) but if you look on the ukcampsite forum they have a section on where to take larger tents and also some good reviews on the tent itself.

We have an XXL and love it! I would go for the bigger size, as your kids get older and the amount of stuff you need to take with you increases it will be well worth it!
