I took the campervan on a ferry to Holland, then when settling up yesterday, realised I have left the electric hook up cable at home. We managed without power yesterday, and ordered a new one with next day delivery.

The tracking shows it's been delivered (instructions to leave at main reception, and reception notified), but reception don't have it and no one seems to have any idea where it is.

We're here a week (5 days left), and although we can manage of grid, we're not really set up for it, as we were planning to have power.

Should I keep trying to track down the parcel or give it up and try to find a physical shop to re-buy another new one? Any ideas how I'd do either?

Is your refund for the ‘delivered’ one accepted? I’d try my luck with reception and make it their issue to replace the one they have now lost.

do they have lost property or can lend you one? or are there any brits there about to head home who will loan it you for five days for you to post when you get home?

surely the staff can point you to appropriate stores, or even google maps works?

I've got one! Ended up going back to reception multiple times to try and chase down the parcel, still haven't found it, but someone managed to come up with a cable I can borrow. It's much shorter then the one I had, so my van is now parked on the other side of the pitch to the drive-away awning (built before I realised I'd left it), but should have a much more comfortable night now we've got a heater on.

I have to wait 48 hours before amazon will accept that the parcel it's missing, though if it comes to it I'm not super bothered about writing off the cost of the lost package, just happy the trip is back on track.
