Anyone got a camper van and very young kids?

Am hoping to buy a VW this week, but the one I'm eyeing up has a very different layout to my old one. And last time I had one it was just me, but this time there's me, DH, DS1 who is 22 months old and am 31 weeks pregnant.

I'm just wondering where you physically put everyone; this van has a pop top but I don't think we could put DS up there just yet, would be terrified he'd fall out. The travel cot we have won't fit in with the rock and roll bed that's in there. He could sleep in between us, but

a) we'd have to all go to bed at the same time, and he's a 7pm kid, and

b) not sure how well that would work in practice.

Can you get teeny weeny travel cots? Any suggestions?

Bloody bloody camper vans.

I can't believe the luck we're having. Can any of you well informed VW people offer me any advice?

Hi, has anyone managed to find the safety net for the bed on the just kampers website?? The links don’t seem to work and I can’t find it by doing a search on their website.

We have a T5 - DH sleeps on roof bed with our 7 year old and I sleep on the bottom bed with our 3 year old. Main issue is getting out to toilet in the night with small children so we have a chemical loo thingy.

And we take an awning for longer trips but don't bother if we just go for one night.
