We are a family of four, DD 5 and DS 2, and we’ve booked to go latitude for the first time this year and staying in the family campsite. We’ve been camping a few times, but never a festival
We have an Osprey carrier for the 2 year old, and going to buy a troller for the 5 year old but will also be used to transport everything from the car to the campsite on arrival. Any suggestions for a trolley would be useful. I can’t seem to find one that ticks all the boxes; large wheels, folds relatively small, has a sun shade and rain cover
For those that have been to festivals with children of a similar age, what have you taken that’s worked? If we had space in the car, we would take two trolleys, but with the size of our tent taking up a lot of space in the boot, I don’t think that’s possible. Do people take their buggies for younger children or just keep them in the carrier?
Our friends went last year with a 3 year old and the trolley worked well. I just don’t know how we’re going to cope with 2 but I’m sure plenty of people do it and I’m after any tips or suggestions as to how to make our life easier would be hugely appreciated
My biggest concerns are getting all the equipment from the car to the campsite, especially when her have a rather large, 45kg tent to move 🫣. We only bought it last year, and we don’t have spare cash to buy a smaller one. We hadn’t envisaged going to a festival, it was an Impulse decision to attend, but one we’re very much looking forward to. Plus we want the space incase it’s really bad weather. My second concern is where will they both sleep if still at the festival?
Many thanks in advance.
