We had our heart set on Home Farm because of recommendations from fellow Mumsnetters but they are full for the dates we want in July,

Can anyone tell me anywhere they have been and enjoyed - we don't need hook up but nice showers are a must and needs to be child friendly as my friend and I have 10 children between us

You can try Tyddyn Isaf near Moelfre, about 5 minutes from benllech

The site has lovely views across Lligwy Bay, a private footpath to the beach, fab childrens playground, greta toilets but it is a bit slopey as it's a coastal site.

I'd recommend it though.

Mind you it's not cheap! but you are paying for the playground and the beach access.

i think i put a review on ukcamping a couple of years ago.

MindingMum · 14/06/2008 06:09

Thank - you Lucy, I've just emailed them

ooh yes that one is good too I forget about them as they have no website!

Who doesn't have a website these days?

Troutpout · 15/06/2008 21:38

yes..this is true... although i think there are sometimes some really good ones which you discover without a website though don't you think? Sometimes quieter too..and they fill up with returning customers.
I'm trying one out at Tansley above Matlock next month Lucy...have you been there? Packhorse farm i think it's called.

No we haven't but I've just checked out the reviews on ukcamping and it looks lovely - I like the new toilet block!

It would take us an hour to get there, probably 1hr 30 on a Friday night.

I ahve bookmarked it though

Have just come back from a really nice campsite, not on anglesey, but kids really enjoyed it. It's just the other side of caenarfon,(about 6 miles) on the pwllheli road and proberbly would be same journey lenght. Absolutly spotless, immaculate showers, toilets, heated swimming pool, club house. Called Dinile Caravan Park, In a little place called Dinas Dinile, website address thornleyleisure.co.uk Found Dinas Dinile by accident a few years ago and decided to try it again, to find not much had been altered, except on the campsites. A little of undiscovered wales that not many brits know about. It is very close to caenarfon airport, which you can actually visit, within nice pleasent coastal walking distance and they do pleasure flights. Very conveniently situated site and surrounded by nature reserve.

Loves Dinas Dinlle - also found it by accident, but the view is amazing and the water clear and clean.

Recommended to other friends, who have just returned, and have been so impressed they booked again before leaving the site.
